Pierre Rettien started playing saxophone at the age of 6 and drums at 11. He played in different bands as a teenager and added guitar to his skills at the age of 15.
After highschool, he studied classical saxophone and drums at Conservatoire de Lyon. During this time,
he plays with many musicians in differents bands. He is also a drum teacher and do workshops and masterclasses.

His uncommon path led him to play many different kind of music with many differents bands as Vertex, Shelter, Kadinja, the duo Bottle Next (as a guitarist/singer), Oct'opus ensemble and others as a permanent musician or session musician.
