Mason McCall is the audio engineer behind A Recording Studio. After discovering his passion while recording and editing music for his band, he started collecting gear to start his own studio and began establishing himself as an up-and-comer in the Dallas-Fort Worth music scene.

A general lover of music and sound, Mason has worked on projects across the audio spectrum – jazz, gospel, hip hop, rock, and pop records to instrumental to voice-over and podcasts – from recording through full postproduction (editing, mixing, mastering).

After studying audio recording and post-production in college, Mason had the opportunity to intern at one of the four large in-house production studios in north Texas. There he worked his way up from shipping in the mail room to media archiving in the control room all while continuing to hone his mixing skills with help from critiques by the chief engineer. After a stint with a local music store, he joined the White’s Chapel UMC tech team where he currently mixes live streams and consults on all things sound.

Mason currently lives in Garland, TX with his wife Brianna and two dogs, studio namesake Ace and Scout.
