Drummer and founder of the Uptown Blues Band since 1997, the pioneer Blues Band in the northeast of Brazil.

In 2018 The Uptown Blues Band was awarded as “ the Best blues band of the year in Brazil “ by the “ Prêmio Profissionais da Música 

Giovanni Papaleo is also promoter of some of the main Jazz & Blues Festivals in the northeast of Brazil and renowned producers in Brazil in the area of Jazz , Blues and instrumental music
