Enrique De los Rios [ Peru ]
He started to play drums as a teenager and studied Classical Guitar at the University of Music, he also graduated as a Sound Engineer and studied Classical Percussion & Drums with a great Master Cuban Musician, Laureano Rigol, learning Murray Spivack’s technique and methods.
He has had the opportunity to play and record with great musicians and artists such as: Jean Pierre Magnet, Óscar Cavero, Pilar De la Hoz, Jorge Pardo (Grammy Nominated), Lucía De la Cruz, Cecilia Bracamonte, Pamela Rodríguez (Grammy Nominated), Hugo Bravo, Malie, Stina, Javier Pérez-Saco, Ernesto Hermoza, Francisco Chirinos, Abel García, Alonso Acosta, Karlhos Misajel, Omar Camino, Carlos Espinoza, Festejando, Sononuna, among many others.
Enrique is currently teaching drums & percussion privately and at the “Music Factory”Academy. He taught drums at the Yamaha Music Academy for several years, at the SGI (Soka Gakkai International) and at “Alterna’s” Music School. He has been also invited to conduct several Workshops and Master Classes around the country.
He’s preparing tours around the country and overseas with a new project called “Peru AfroAndino” (peruvian fusion music), also composing for a solo project. Also, he has been recently hired as a session musician for “Mantra’ss Recording Studio”.
